Passed today with 924/1000 Pretty fair test. Use the Safe white papers for revision and it's not too bad. I personally found it harder due to the design nature of this exam which means questions are not always as cut n dried as the other ccsp exams. I would definately recommend doing this one last as it refers to PIX, VPN, IDS etc. Make sure you look at Wireless and VOIP in good detail. Good luck everybody. CCNP next!

I thought this exam was difficult; I passed today with a 962/1000. I found this to be the most difficult of the CCSP exams.

I was expecting a pretty regular exam but CIS was a tough surprise. 75 questions, lots of ground covered here and 2 simulations. Keeping track of all different attack scenarios and mitigation strategies trough Cisco SAFE guidelines is a hell of a mess. Some questions are bit confusion and you have to understand what they really want and pickup for the best answer among correct ones.
Don't trust Cisco Press

Don't trust the Cisco Press book or any other 3rd party study materials for this exam. I used Cisco Press, Exam Cram, & Boson practice test for this exam and failed it the first time. Both books stated that the CSI exam focused on Safe SMR and then barley covered anything on Enterprise, (Excam Cram and Boson both covered nothing on Enterprise) so I focused on SMR. Then when I took the exam the first time 40% of the questions I got were on Safe Enterprise. After that I went back and just read the actual Safe, and Safe SMR white papers from Cisco's web site and then took the test again and aced it. 90% of the exam questions are strait off the White papers, so don't waste you money on books, just read the white papers including the wireless one and the exam will be easy. Practice setting up VPN tunnels with a PIX and IOS router for the simulation.
