Pretty easy

Scored a 906 in about 60 minutes... this exam is a cakewalk if you've taken 70-271 towards an MCDST on XP. MeasureUp and PrepLogic both provide excellent practice tests for this exam.

A+ exam is much worse. Study, and I mean study not memorize, the information that is in the Guide from this web site and you will do fine. Scored 906 first time around.
A Challenge

Passed with 865 but was expecting to get closer to 700. Used Microsoft and Transcender practice exams only and definitely needed to understand the concepts well.
Moderately Difficult

Passed with an 852. Had lots of questions on TCP/IP and situations where one computer on the network cannot access another, and I had to figure out why. Few questions on Group Policy and Security Settings. Not much in the way of compression/EFS/Disk Quotas. Know basic networking in and out, it helps.
OOOOF!!

Guys, I barely passed this exam. I mean I did study on and off, but my best recommendation is to get the MSCE 2000 training kit that has good on-hands problem using the OS 2000. Play with the OS 2000, driver signing, NTFS. Some questions are common sense, but they are long to read and makes you think twice. Test King Q & A are very good, to understand the test format of the windows 2000 questions.
Gook Luck Guys, Study!!!!!
Practice with the windows 2000 operating system.

More challenging than expected

Thought it was going to be a close call, but I passed with a 906. The questions were definitely overly wordy, confusing, and vague with some having no "good" right answer. Know your driver signing, printer configuration, NTFS/share permissions, and hardware troubleshooting. Heck, just know how to troubleshoot everything since practically every question asks you to fix some problem that "the administrator" (a.k.a. YOU) is having. While studying I used the LearnKey CDs, Exam Cram 2, Syngress/Osborne MCSE text, MS training kit, and parts of the Windows 2000 Resource kits and STILL had several questions that could not be answered using any of those sources. My advice would be to practice with the OS as much as possible and take as many practice exams that you can find. Find various ways to mess up your OS and then figure out how to fix it. Use books and other materials only to help fill in knowledge gaps that are identified in practice exams. Happy testing! :-)
Just Passed 70-210

I passed with a score of 811 earlier today. I have been preparing for this test off and on for some time. I finally decided to try and put this behind me. Some of the questions were very long and required a lot of time to read and understand. For the most part, if you know the material fairly well, you should be able to pass. I used every minute of the time allotted to make sure I had chosen the correct answers. Compared to the A+ and Network+ exams which I have passed previously, this test 70-210 was by the far the most challenging.
Not hard if you prepare

I have no commercial experience with W2K but plenty of IT experience. I used the Microsoft study guide and the Self Test Software practice exam. After about 100 hours of study I passed with a 865.
I did not feel there was any particular concentration of questions in any area.
Testking.......Good Study Tool

Just passed the 70-210 with 811 by just studying the Testking.
